"Dad, I saw a monster today!" “爸爸，我今天看到怪物了！”

said a little frog. 小青蛙说。

"It was as big as a mountain, “它大得像座山，

with horns on its head and a long tail." 头上长着角，还有一条长尾巴。”

"That's not a monster," said the old frog. “那才不是怪物呢，”老青蛙说。

"That's just the farmer's ox. “那不过是农夫家的公牛罢了。

And he's not so big. 而且它也没多大。

I can easily make myself that big. 我轻轻松松就能变得跟它一样大。

Watch." 看好了。”

He took a deep breath and puffed himself up. 他深吸了一口气，把肚子鼓了起来。

"Was he as big as this?" “有这么大吗？”

"Oh, much bigger," said the little frog. “哎呀，比这大多了，”小青蛙说。

The old frog puffed again. 老青蛙又鼓了鼓气。

"This big?" “这么大？”

"Bigger, Dad." “还要大，爸爸。”

So he breathed in, and in, and in, 于是他吸气，吸气，再吸气，

until he was round like a balloon. 直到整个人圆得像个气球。

Bang! 砰！

He burst. 他炸了。
