The mice had a serious problem: the cat. 老鼠们遇到了一个大麻烦：那只猫。

She moved so quietly that nobody ever heard her coming. 她走路轻得一点动静都没有，谁都听不到她走过来。

So one night, they held a meeting to decide what to do. 于是有一晚，他们聚在一起开会，商量该怎么办。

Some said this, and some said that. 大家七嘴八舌，说什么的都有。

Then a young mouse stood up. 这时，一只年轻的小老鼠站了起来。

"I have a simple plan," he said. “我有个简单的办法，”他说。

"We tie a small bell around the cat's neck. “咱们在猫脖子上系个小铃铛。”

When she moves, the bell rings, “只要她一动，铃铛就会响，”

and we all have time to run." “咱们就有时间逃跑了。”

"Brilliant!" “太妙了！”
