养出善良的孩子

Every parent wants to raise a kind child — 每个父母都想培养一个善良的孩子——

and kindness, it turns out, can be taught. 而善良，事实证明，是可以教的。

Children who are caring make friends more easily and are simply nicer to be around. 有爱心的孩子更容易交到朋友，也更讨人喜欢。

The most powerful lesson is your own example. 最有力的教训就是你自己的榜样。

Children do what they see, 孩子会模仿他们所看到的，

so when they watch you being kind, they learn to be kind too. 所以当他们看到你善良时，他们也会学着善良。

Beyond that, do kind things together: 除此之外，还可以一起做善事：

bring food to an elderly neighbor, 给年迈的邻居送食物，

Afterward, talk about it — how it felt to help, 之后，谈谈感受——帮助别人是什么感觉，

Kindness is not something a child is simply born with or without. 善良不是孩子与生俱来的品质。
