Today Lin votes for the very first time, and she could not be more excited. 林今天第一次投票，她兴奋极了。

Back in Laos, where she used to live, she was never able to vote. 在她以前居住的老挝，她从未能投票。

A woman named Jane Smith is running for the school board. 一位名叫简·史密斯的女士正在竞选学校董事会成员。

Lin has met her and talked with her, and she believes in Jane's plan. 林见过她，也和她谈过，她相信简的计划。
