In Macbeth's castle, a doctor and a servant kept watch at night. 在麦克白的城堡里，一个医生和一个仆人正在夜里守着。

The queen had been walking in her sleep. 王后最近总是在梦游。

Then she appeared, carrying a candle, eyes open but seeing nothing. 这时她走了出来，手里拿着蜡烛，眼睛虽然睁着，却什么也看不见。

She began rubbing her hands, as if washing them. 她开始搓起双手，就像在洗手一样。

"Yet here's a spot. “可这儿还有块印子。

Out, damned spot! 洗掉，该死的脏东西！

She murmured about the murder, the knocking at the gate, the blood. 她嘴里嘟囔着谋杀、敲门声，还有血。

"Who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him?" “谁能想到，那老头身上居然有那么多的血？”

Then, in a whisper: 接着，她压低声音说：

"All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand." “就算用尽阿拉伯所有的香水，也去不掉我这只小手上的腥气。”

The woman who once said a little water would clear them could now never get her hands clean. 曾经说过“一点水就能洗干净”的那个女人，现在却怎么也洗不干净双手了。

The guilt we deny most boldly often returns the hardest. 我们越是嘴硬否认的内疚，往往反噬得越厉害。

The doctor shook his head. 医生摇了摇头。

"This is beyond my practice." “这病我可治不了。”
