When Lady Macbeth read her husband's letter, her heart raced. 麦克白夫人读着丈夫的来信，心怦怦直跳。

But she knew him too well. 但她太了解他了。

But Macbeth hesitated. 但麦克白犹豫了。

Duncan was his king, his relative, and his guest. 邓肯是他的君王，是他的亲戚，又是他的客人。

She turned on him with contempt. 她满脸轻蔑地怼了回去。

"Are you a man?" “你到底算不算个男人？”

"If we should fail?" “要是我们搞砸了呢？”

"We fail? “搞砸？

But screw your courage to the sticking place, and we'll not fail." 只要你把胆子提起来，我们就绝不会失败。”

Ambition rarely needs a push. 野心其实很少需要别人推一把。

It only needs someone to call it courage. 它只需要有人把它叫做‘勇气’。

Macbeth gave in. 麦克白妥协了。
