But the crown brought Macbeth no peace. 可戴上王冠后，麦克白并没有得到安宁。

One man worried him above all: Banquo. 其中最让他放心不下的，就是班柯。

He had heard the prophecy too. 他也听到了那个预言。

And the witches had said Banquo's children would be kings. 女巫们还说过，班柯的后代将来会成为国王。

Had Macbeth murdered Duncan only to hand the crown to Banquo's sons? 难道自己杀了邓肯，就只是为了把王位拱手让给班柯的儿子吗？

That evening, Macbeth was holding a great banquet. 那天晚上，麦克白要举行一场盛大的宴会。

"Ride you this afternoon?" “你下午打算骑马出去吗？”

he asked Banquo casually. 他随口问了班柯一句。

"Ay, my good lord. “是的，陛下。

Then Macbeth met two hired murderers in secret. 随后，麦克白秘密会见了两个买通的杀手。

Banquo and his son must die before nightfall. 班柯和他儿子必须在天黑前除掉。

The first crime makes the second easier, 犯下了第一桩罪，第二桩就容易得多，

and the second makes the third necessary. 而第二桩罪，又让第三桩变得在所难免。

As darkness fell, the murderers struck on the road. 夜幕降临，杀手们在路上动了手。

Banquo was killed. 班柯被杀了。
