There's a game happening all around you 其实就在你身边，一直有一场游戏在进行着，

that most people have no idea exists. 而绝大多数人根本不知道它的存在。

It's called geocaching, and it turned 它叫地理藏宝，它把

my ordinary neighborhood into a treasure hunt. 我住的普通社区变成了一场寻宝大冒险。

Using an app on my phone, 靠着手机上的一个 App，

I follow coordinates to find little hidden containers 我顺着坐标去寻找那些藏起来的小容器，

that other people have tucked away, 它们都是别人悄悄塞在各处的：

under a park bench, behind a loose brick, inside a hollow log. 公园长椅下、松动的砖块后，或是空心的树干里。

Some are tiny, no bigger than my thumb. 有些极其小巧，还没我的大拇指大。

When you find one, 当你找到一个，

you sign a little logbook inside 就在里面附带的小签到本上签个名，

and hide it again exactly as it was. 然后原封不动地把它藏回原处。

It sounds childish, and maybe it is. 这听起来挺幼稚的，也许确实是。

But it's completely changed how I walk around my own city. 但这彻底改变了我漫步在自己城市里的感受。

Places I passed a thousand times without 那些我走过成百上千次却从未

a second glance are suddenly full of secrets. 多看一眼的地方，突然间全都充满了秘密。

It reminded me that adventure doesn't require a plane ticket. 它让我明白，去冒险其实根本不需要一张机票。
