In a world where I can send a message in two seconds,

I've started writing cards by hand again, and it feels almost rebellious.

It takes real effort.

I have to find a card, sit down, 我得找一张卡片,坐下来,

think about what I want to say,

and write it slowly so my handwriting doesn't fall apart.

There's no delete button.

If I make a mistake, I live with it or start over.

And that's exactly why it means something.

A text takes no time, so it carries no weight.

But a card says I stopped, I thought about you,

I spent part of my afternoon on this and nothing else.

People keep them, too.

Nobody frames a text message.

Maybe the slow ways were never about speed.

Maybe they were about showing someone was worth the time.
