I've started protecting my Sundays,

and it's changed how the whole week feels.

For years I treated Sunday like a catch-up day.

I'd run errands, answer emails, get ready for Monday,

and by evening I felt like I never actually rested.

So now I keep one rule.

On Sundays, I don't plan anything I don't want to do.

Some Sundays I read for hours.

Some I walk with no destination.

Some I lie on the couch and do absolutely nothing,

and I've learned not to feel guilty about it.

The strange thing is, 奇怪的是,

I'm more productive during the week now, not less.

My brain needed one day that wasn't pointed at a goal.

A slow Sunday isn't wasted time.

It's the thing that makes the other six days work.
