For the past ten years, 这十年来，

one woman has given up her holidays to help build homes for families in need. 有位女士一直放弃自己的休假，去帮困难家庭盖房子。

She travels to different countries each year, 她每年都会去不同的国家，

joining teams of volunteers from around the world. 加入来自世界各地的志愿者队伍。

"Seeing a family move into a safe home is the greatest reward," she said. “看到一家人搬进安全的家，就是最好的回报，”她说。

Over the years, 这些年下来，

she has helped build dozens of houses for those who lost everything. 她已经帮那些失去一切的人盖了几十栋房子。

The work is hard and the days are long, 活儿挺辛苦，每天时间也很长，

but she says it is worth every moment. 但她说这一切都非常值得。

Many of the families she has helped have become lifelong friends. 很多得到过她帮助的家庭，后来都成了她一辈子的朋友。

She encourages others to give their time, 她也鼓励大家能抽出时间出一份力，

even if only for a short while. 哪怕只有短短的一阵子也行。

"You don't need to be rich to make a difference," she said. 她说：“想带来改变，其实并不需要你多有钱。”

Her efforts have inspired others in her town to volunteer too. 在她的带动下，她所在镇上的其他人也纷纷去做了志愿者。

She plans to keep going for as long as she is able. 她打算只要自己还干得动，就会一直做下去。
