I've got a little pile of odd jobs that all involve tape and glue. 我手头攒了点零碎活儿，全得用胶带和胶水。

First, a poster keeps curling off the wall, 先是墙上有张海报老翘边，

so I roll up some double-sided tape and press it firmly along the edges. 我就扯了点双面胶卷成卷，沿着边角使劲按紧。

A box needs sealing for the mail, 还有个要寄出去的箱子得封口，

so I run a strip of packing tape across the flaps and smooth out the bubbles. 我就扯了一道封箱胶带贴在合缝上，把气泡抹平。

To open a stubborn parcel, 遇到特别难拆的包裹，

I slide a box cutter carefully along the seam — 我就拿美工刀顺着接缝小心地划开——

blade out just a little, so I don't slice whatever is inside. 刀片只露出来一点点，免得划坏里面的东西。

There's a real art to using just enough tape: 胶带用得不多不少，还真挺讲究的：

too little and it won't hold, 用少了粘不牢，

too much and it's a sticky mess. 用多了又黏糊糊的一团糟。

Once everything is stuck, sealed, or cut open, 等该粘的、该封的、该拆的都弄完了，

I retract the blade, tidy up the scraps, and step back. 我收回刀片，收拾掉那些边角料，退后一步。

Small fixes, but everything is finally holding together the way it's supposed to. 虽说都是些小修小补，但总算全都稳稳当当、恢复该有的样子了。
