All summer long, a grasshopper sang and danced in the sunshine. 整个夏天，一只蚱蜢都在阳光下又唱又跳。
Every day, he watched an ant walk past, 每天，他都看着一只蚂蚁从身旁走过，
carrying food back to her home. 忙着把食物往家里搬。
"Why are you working so hard?" “你干嘛这么辛苦啊？”
he asked. 他问。
"Come and have some fun!" “快来一起玩会儿吧！”
"I'm getting ready for winter," said the ant. “我正在准备过冬呢，”蚂蚁说，
"You should do the same." “你也该赶紧准备准备了。”
The grasshopper laughed. 蚱蜢笑了起来，
"Winter is months away. “离冬天还好几个月呢，
There's plenty of food right now." 现在吃的不是多得很嘛。”
Then winter came. 转眼冬天来了。
Snow covered the ground, and the grasshopper couldn't find anything to eat. 大雪覆盖了地面，蚱蜢连一口吃的都找不到了。
Cold and hungry, he looked through the ant's window. 他又冷又饿，顺着窗户往蚂蚁家里看去。
Inside, she was warm, with more than enough food. 屋里暖洋洋的，吃的更是多得吃不完。
A little work today can save you a lot of trouble tomorrow. 今天稍微勤快一点，明天就能少遭很多罪。
