A young boy looked after the village sheep on a hill. 有个小男孩在山坡上替村里放羊。
It was a quiet job, and he was bored. 这活儿挺清闲的，他觉得无聊极了。
So one afternoon he shouted, "Wolf! 于是一天下午，他大声喊道：“狼来了！
Wolf! 狼来了！
Help!" 救命啊！”
The villagers dropped everything and ran up the hill. 村民们放下手里的活儿，急忙跑上山来。
There was no wolf, only a boy laughing at them. 根本就没有狼，只有男孩冲着他们哈哈大笑。
A few days later, he did it again. 过了几天，他又这么干了一次。
Again they came running, and again he laughed. 大家又急忙跑过来，他也又笑了一通。
Then one evening, a real wolf came out of the forest. 后来有一天傍晚，一只真狼从森林里钻了出来。
"Wolf! “狼来了！
Wolf!" 狼来了！”
the boy screamed. 男孩尖叫起来。
"Please, it's real this time!" “求求你们了，这次是真的！”
Down in the village, people just shook their heads. 山下的村民们只是摇了摇头。
Nobody came. 谁也没来。
That night, the boy lost many of his sheep. 那天晚上，男孩的羊被叼走了好多。
Nobody believes a liar, even when he's telling the truth. 常说谎的人，哪怕说了真话也没人会信了。
