After their English class, Hoa asks her friend Ming, 她们的英语课结束后，小华问她的朋友小明：

"Would you like to come with me to the farmers market?" “你想和我一起去农贸市场吗？”

"Yes," says Ming. “好啊，”小明说。

"I love fresh food. “我爱吃新鲜的食物。

I miss buying it every day, the way I did back home." 我很怀念在家乡时每天都买新鲜食物的日子。”

"So do I," says Hoa. “我也是，”小华说。

"Fresh meat and fruit, every single day." “每天都有新鲜的肉和水果。”

"The food just tastes better fresh," Ming says, "and it's better for you." “新鲜的食物味道更好，”小明说，“而且对身体也有益。”

At the market, Ming picks out pears, green beans, and fish. 在市场里，小明挑选了梨、四季豆和鱼。

Hoa chooses snow peas, carrots, and cherries. 小华则选了荷兰豆、胡萝卜和樱桃。

"Let's do this every week," says Ming. “我们每周都来吧，”小明说。

"I'd like that," says Hoa. “我很乐意，”小华说。

Two friends, far from where they were born, 两位朋友，远离她们的家乡，
