The hardest part of learning something isn't the beginning.
It's the plateau in the middle.
When I started learning the guitar, the early progress was thrilling.
Every week I could do something new.
But after a few months, it just stopped.
I practiced the same amount, and I sounded exactly the same.
It felt like I'd hit an invisible wall,
and honestly, that's when most people quit.
I almost did.
But someone told me that a plateau isn't you failing.
It's your brain quietly locking in everything you've already learned
before it lets you move up.
The progress is still happening, just underground where you can't see it.
So now, when it feels like nothing is improving,
I try to trust that something still is.
