Every office I've ever worked in has had its little groups.
The ones who always go to lunch together,
the ones who share private jokes,
the invisible lines about who talks to whom.
When I was new, I found it stressful,
like being back in high school,
trying to figure out where I fit.
For a while I thought I had
to pick a side to survive.
But I've learned that the healthiest
thing is to be friendly with everyone
and truly owned by no group.
You can be warm to all 你可以对每个人
of them without belonging to any of them.
It keeps your work life simpler,
and it means that when the groups inevitably clash,
you're not caught in the middle of a war
that was never yours.
