An old man had spent the whole day in the forest, collecting wood. 有个老人在森林里捡了一整天的柴火。
Now he was carrying it home on his back, 现在他正背着柴火往家走，
and he still had a long way to go. 可离家还有好长一段路。
He was tired, and every part of his body hurt. 他累坏了，浑身上下哪儿都疼。
Finally, he threw the wood on the ground and sat down beside it. 最后，他把柴火往地上一扔，在旁边坐了下来。
"I can't do this anymore," he cried. “我实在撑不下去了，”他喊道，
"I'm so tired of this life. “这日子我真是受够了。
I wish Death would just come and take me!" 死神干脆赶紧来把我带走算了！”
He had hardly finished speaking when a tall, 他话音刚落，一个又高
thin figure appeared in front of him. 又瘦的身影就出现在他面前。
"You called?" “你叫我？”
said Death. 死神说道，
"What can I do for you?" “找我有什么事吗？”
The old man looked up, and suddenly life didn't seem so bad. 老人抬头一看，顿时觉得活着好像也没那么糟了。

Well," he said quickly. 那个……”他连忙说道，
"Would you mind helping me lift this wood back onto my shoulder?" “能麻烦你帮我把这捆柴重新抬到肩上吗？”
We often complain about our lives. 我们常常抱怨自己的生活，
But very few of us would actually trade them in. 但真要把它换掉，几乎没人愿意。
