A hare was very popular. 有只野兔的人缘特别好。

All the animals said they were her friends, 所有的动物都说自己是她的朋友，

and she was proud of it. 她也为此感到挺自豪的。

One morning, she heard hunting dogs coming, 一天早晨，她听到了猎狗逼近的声音，

so she ran to her friends for help. 就赶紧跑去找朋友帮忙。

First, she asked the horse to carry her away. 她先是求马驮她逃走。

"I'd love to," he said, "but I have work to do. 马说：“我很想帮你，但我还有活儿要干呢。

I'm sure the others will help." 其他人肯定会帮你的。”

The bull said he had an appointment. 公牛推脱说自己有约在先。

The goat was worried about hurting his back. 山羊担心会扭伤自己的背。

The sheep didn't want to get involved with dogs. 绵羊则不想去招惹那些猎狗。
