I used to think the answer to my mess was better organizing.
So I bought boxes, baskets, clever little containers,
shelves to hold all my stuff more neatly.
And for a week, it looked great.
Then it filled up and overflowed again.
That's when it finally clicked.
I didn't have an organizing problem.
I had a too-much problem.
All those containers were just a way of hiding the fact
that I owned more than I needed.
No amount of tidy boxes fixes that.
Real order didn't come from arranging my things more cleverly.
It came from simply having fewer of them.
Now, before I buy another storage box, I ask a harder question.
What if I just let some of this go instead?
