One icy winter morning, 一个寒冷的冬日早晨，

a farmer was walking home when he found a snake lying in the snow. 有个农夫在回家的路上，看到雪地里躺着一条蛇。

It was stiff with cold and almost dead. 蛇已经冻得僵硬，快要死了。

He felt sorry for it. 他觉得它挺可怜的，

So he picked it up, 就把蛇捡了起来，
