A wolf was drinking from a stream when he noticed a lamb doing the same, 一只狼正在小溪边喝水，这时他注意到一只小羊也在喝水，

"There's my dinner," he thought. “晚饭这不就来了嘛，”他心想，

"I just need a good excuse." “我得先找个像样的借口。”

"Hey, you!" “喂，说你呢！”

he shouted. 他大吼道，

"How dare you make my water dirty?" “你好大的胆子，竟敢把我的水弄脏？”

"That's impossible, sir," said the lamb. “这绝不可能呀，先生，”小羊说，

"The water runs from you down to me, “水是从您那边流到我这儿的，”，

not the other way around." “又不是倒着流。”

"Fine. “行吧。

But I heard you said nasty things about me last year." 但我听说你去年在背后说过我的坏话。”

"Last year? “去年？

I wasn't even born then." 那时候我都还没出生呢。”

"Then it was your father," snapped the wolf. “那就是你老子说的，”狼恶狠狠地打断道，

"It's all the same to me." “反正对我来说都一样。”

And without another word, 二话没说，

he jumped on the poor lamb and ate her. 他就扑向那只可怜的小羊，把它给吃掉了。
