Napoleon stood before the animals with important news. 拿破仑带着重要的消息站在动物们面前。

Comrades, he said, we are going to build the windmill. “同志们，”他说，“我们要建造风车。”

The animals were amazed. 动物们惊呆了。

The windmill? 风车？

But Napoleon had always said the windmill was foolish. 可是拿破仑一直都说风车是愚蠢的。

He had made water all over the plans. 他曾对这些计划泼过冷水。

Squealer quickly explained. 斯奎拉迅速解释道。

You are confused, comrades, he said with a smile. “你们搞错了，同志们，”他笑着说。

The windmill was Napoleon's own idea from the very start. 风车从一开始就是拿破仑自己的主意。

Snowball stole the plans from him. 雪球从他那里偷走了计划。

That is the truth. 那才是真相。

Some animals frowned. 一些动物皱起了眉头。

They seemed to remember it differently, 他们似乎记得并非如此，

The animals felt proud again. 动物们又感到自豪了。
