Clover sang Beasts of England, the old song of hope. 三叶草唱起了《英格兰之兽》，那首古老的希望之歌。

Other animals joined her, sad and slow. 其他动物也加入了她，歌声悲伤而缓慢。

But before they could finish, Squealer arrived with two dogs. 但是还没等他们唱完，斯奎拉就带着两条狗来了。

Stop, “停下！”

he said. 他说。

That song is now forbidden. “那首歌现在被禁止了。”

The animals were confused. 动物们感到困惑。

Why ban their own song? 为什么要禁止他们自己的歌呢？

Beasts of England was a song of the rebellion, Squealer explained. “《英格兰之兽》是一首反叛之歌，”斯奎拉解释道。

But the rebellion is finished. “但是革命已经结束了。”

We have won. “我们胜利了。”

We do not need it anymore. “我们不再需要它了。”

In fact, the song is dangerous now. “事实上，这首歌现在很危险。”

In its place, a pig wrote a new one. 取而代之的是，一头猪写了一首新歌。
