At Napoleon's strange call, nine huge dogs ran into the barn. 拿破仑一声奇怪的呼唤，九只巨犬冲进了谷仓。

They were the puppies he had taken away, but now they were grown, fierce, and wild. 它们是拿破仑带走的那些小狗，但现在它们已经长大，变得凶猛而狂野。

Their teeth were sharp, and their eyes were cruel. 它们的牙齿锋利，眼神凶残。

Before anyone could move, the dogs rushed at Snowball. 还没等人反应过来，狗群就扑向了雪球。

The dogs could not catch him, and he was gone forever. 狗群没能抓住他，他永远消失了。

The animals were shocked and silent. 动物们震惊而沉默。

They crept back into the barn, trembling. 它们颤抖着爬回谷仓。

What had they just seen? 它们刚才看到了什么？

Napoleon climbed onto the raised floor where Old Major had once stood. 拿破仑爬上了老麦哲曾站过的那个高台。

The dogs sat beside him, watching everyone. 狗群坐在他身边，监视着每一个人。

From now on, Napoleon said. There will be no more Sunday meetings. 拿破仑说：“从现在起，不再有周日会议了。”

They waste time. 它们浪费时间。

A special group of pigs will decide everything. 一个由猪组成的特别小组将决定一切。

You will simply do your work. 你们只需做好自己的工作。

The animals wanted to argue, but the dogs growled softly, and fear closed every mouth. 动物们想争辩，但狗群低声咆哮，恐惧让所有嘴巴都闭上了。

So this was the new freedom. Obey or face the teeth. 这就是新的自由：服从，否则就面对利齿。

And who could stop Napoleon now? 现在谁还能阻止拿破仑呢？
