I put the cookies in the oven at four o'clock. 四点整的时候，我把饼干放进了烤箱。

Twelve minutes, the recipe said. 食谱上说要烤十二分钟。

At minute two, the smell started. 才过了两分钟，香味就飘出来了。

Butter first, then sugar, then chocolate. 先是黄油味，接着是糖的甜香，然后是巧克力的味道。

At minute three, my daughter appeared in the kitchen doorway. 到了第三分钟，我女儿出现在了厨房门口。

She's six. 她今年六岁。

She didn't say anything. 她什么也没说。
