King Lear of Britain was over eighty, and tired of ruling. 不列颠的李尔王年过八十，早就厌倦了治理国家。

He decided to divide his kingdom among his three daughters. 他决定把王国分给自己的三个女儿。

But first, each must tell him how much she loved him. 但在这之前，每个人都得说一说她们到底有多爱他。

The biggest share would go to the one who loved him most. 谁最爱他，谁就能拿到最大的一份封地。

Goneril, the eldest, went first. 大女儿高纳里尔先站了出来。
