An enemy army was marching on Rome. 敌人的军队正向罗马逼近。

Only one thing stood in its way: 挡在他们前面的只有一样东西：

a wooden bridge across the river. 一座横跨河面的木桥。

A soldier named Horatius was guarding the far end. 一个名叫霍拉提乌斯的士兵正守在桥那头。
