I live in a very old town, 我住在一个很古老的小镇上

which is surrounded by beautiful woods. 四周被美丽的树林环绕

It is a famous beauty spot. 这是个有名的风景区

On Sundays, 每到星期天

hundreds of people come from the city to see our town and to walk through the woods. 好几百人从城里跑来逛我们镇，还在林子里溜达

Visitors have been asked to keep the woods clean and tidy. 游客们被要求保持树林干净整洁

Litter baskets have been placed under the trees, 树下都放了垃圾桶

but people still throw their rubbish everywhere. 可大家还是到处乱扔垃圾

I went for a walk in the woods. 我去林子里散步

I counted seven old cars and three old refrigerators. 我数了数，有七辆旧车和三个旧冰箱

The litter baskets were empty, 垃圾桶都是空的

and the ground was covered with pieces of paper, cigarette ends, old tires, empty bottles, 地上全是纸片、烟头、旧轮胎、空瓶子
