A man and a lion were traveling together, 一个人和一头狮子一起赶路，

and they started arguing about who was stronger: humans or lions. 他们争论起到底谁更厉害：是人类还是狮子。

"Humans, obviously," said the man. “肯定是人类啊，”男人说，

"We're far more intelligent." “我们可聪明多了。”

The lion disagreed, and neither would give in. 狮子并不赞同，谁也不肯服输。

Then they walked through a park and came to a stone statue. 接着他们穿过一座公园，看到了一尊石雕。

It showed a strong man holding a lion's jaws open with his bare hands. 上面刻着一个壮汉徒手掰开狮子的嘴巴。

"There!" “看吧！”

said the man. 男人说，

"That proves it. “这不就证明了吗？

Look how easily he beats the king of beasts." 看他多轻松就制服了百兽之王。”

The lion studied the statue for a moment. 狮子打量了一会儿那座雕像，

Then he laughed. 然后笑了。

"That proves nothing. “这什么也证明不了。

A man made it. 这是人做出来的。

If lions knew how to make statues, 要是狮子会做雕像，

you would see the man underneath the lion's paw." 你看到的就是被狮爪踩在底下的人了。”
