A horse and a deer had a terrible fight, 马和一只鹿狠狠地打了一架,

and the horse wanted revenge. 马一心想要报仇。

So he went to a hunter and asked for help. 于是它找了一个猎人帮忙。

"Of course," said the hunter. “没问题,”猎人说,

"But if we're going to catch him, “但要是想抓到它,”

you'll have to let me put this piece of metal in your mouth, “你得让我把这块铁放进你嘴里,”

so I can guide you. “这样我好驾驭你。”

And this saddle on your back, so I don't fall off." “背上也得装上这个马鞍,免得我摔下来。”

The horse agreed. 马答应了。

Together, they chased the deer and beat him easily. 他们一起追赶那只鹿,轻轻松松就把它给收拾了。

"Thank you," said the horse. “多谢了,”马说,

"Now please take these things off me." “现在请把我身上的这些东西卸下来吧。”

The hunter smiled and held the reins a little tighter. 猎人笑了笑,把手里的缰绳勒得更紧了。

"Not so fast, my friend. “别急嘛,朋友。”

I've just discovered how useful you are. “我才发现你原来这么好用。”

I think I'll keep you exactly as you are." “我看你就保持现在这样吧。”

The horse got his revenge. 马确实报了仇,

It only cost him his freedom. 只不过代价是失去了自由。

Be careful whose help you accept, 接受别人的帮助可得小心,

and what you give up to get it. 更要想清楚为此付出了什么代价。
