Sold Out. 卖光了

The play may begin at any moment, I said. 我说：“戏可能随时开演。”

It may have begun already, Susan answered. 苏珊回答：“说不定已经开演了。”

I hurried to the ticket office. 我赶紧跑到售票处。

May I have two tickets, please? “请问能给我两张票吗？”

I asked. 我问。

I'm sorry, “抱歉，”

we've sold out, “我们卖光了，”

the girl said. 那个女孩说。

What a pity! “真可惜！”

Susan exclaimed. 苏珊叫道。

Just then, 就在这时，

a man hurried to the ticket office. 一个男人匆匆赶到售票处。

Can I return these two tickets? “我能退这两张票吗？”

he asked. 他问。

Certainly, the girl said. “当然可以，”女孩说。

I went back to the ticket office at once. 我立刻回到售票处。

Could I have those two tickets, please? “请问我能要那两张票吗？”

I asked. 我问。

Certainly, “当然可以，”

the girl said, 女孩说，

but they're for next Wednesday's performance Do you still want them? “但那是下周三的演出。您还要吗？”

I might as well have them, “我还是买了吧，”

I said sadly 我无奈地说。
