I lost my earphones in March. 我三月份把耳机弄丢了。

I looked everywhere. 哪儿都找遍了。

Under the sofa, in every bag, in the car. 沙发底下、所有的包、车里都翻过了。

After a month, I gave up and bought new ones. 找了一个月，我彻底放弃，买了副新的。

I was annoyed about it for weeks. 这事儿让我郁闷了好几个礼拜。

Yesterday, the first cold day of autumn arrived. 昨天，迎来了秋天的第一股寒意。

I took my winter coat out of the closet, 我从衣柜里拿出冬天的厚外套，

put it on, and put my hands in the pockets. 穿在身上，双手插进兜里。

I actually said "Ha!" 我忍不住“哈！”地笑了一声，

But that wasn't all. 不过还不止这些。

There was a movie ticket from February. 里面还有一张二月份的电影票。

And, folded small, a twenty-dollar bill. 而且，还有一张叠得小小的二十块钱纸币。

It's my own money. 这本来就是我自己的钱。

I know that. 我知道。

But found money feels different. 但捡到的钱感觉就是不一样。

It feels like a gift from someone who likes you. 那种感觉，就像是某个喜欢你的人送你的礼物。

And I suppose it is. 我想，也确实算吧。

Last winter's me left a little surprise for this winter's me. 去年冬天的我，给今年冬天的我留了个小惊喜。

I should do that on purpose. 我以后真应该特意这么干。
