The Magi, as you know, were wise men, wonderfully wise men, 你们都知道，麦琪是智者，聪明绝顶的智者，

who brought gifts to the baby in the manger. 他们把礼物送给了马槽里的圣婴。

They invented the art of giving Christmas presents. 送圣诞礼物这门传统就是他们开创的。

And being wise, their gifts were no doubt wise ones. 既然是聪明人，送出的礼物自然也错不了。

Here I have told you the simple story of two foolish young people in a cheap little flat, 我在这儿讲的，只是廉价小公寓里两个傻年轻人的平凡故事，

who most unwisely sacrificed for each other the greatest treasures of their home. 他们极不明智地为了彼此，把家里最值钱的宝贝都给牺牲了。

But let me say one last word to the wise people of today. 不过最后，我想对当今的聪明人们说一句话。

The value of a gift is never in what it costs; 礼物的价值从来不在于它值多少钱，

it's in what it costs the giver. 而在于送礼的人为它付出了多大代价。

Of all who give gifts, these two were the wisest. 在所有送礼物的人当中，他们两个其实才是最聪明的。

Of all who give and receive gifts, 在所有送礼和收礼的人当中，

people like them are the wisest. 像他们这样的人才是最聪明的。

Everywhere, they are the wisest. 无论在哪儿，他们都是最聪明的人。
