Sir Humphrey Gilbert was one of the first Englishmen who tried to start a new town in America. 汉弗莱·吉尔伯特爵士是最早尝试在美洲建立新城镇的英国人之一。

He crossed the ocean twice, and twice he failed. 他两次横渡大洋，两次都失败了。
