The year is 1915. 那是1915年。

It is 3 o'clock in the afternoon. 现在是下午三点。

Yoko is sitting in a chair in the garden. 洋子坐在花园的椅子上。

The chair is beneath a tree. 椅子在一棵树下。

Beside the chair is a table. 椅子旁边有一张桌子。

On the table, there is a fish bowl with a fish swimming in it. 桌子上有一个鱼缸，里面有一条鱼在游动。

There is also a glass of cold tea. 旁边还有一杯凉茶。

Yoko sits very still. 洋子一动不动地坐着。

She tries not to move. 她尽量不动。

It is a very hot day, and there is no air conditioning in the house. 天气非常热，家里没有空调。

Yoko watches the fish swimming in the bowl. 洋子看着鱼在鱼缸里游动。

She drinks the tea. 她喝着茶。

Yoko's father comes outside and sprays water on the plants in the garden. 洋子的父亲来到外面，给花园里的植物喷水。

For a moment, everything feels cooler. 一瞬间，一切都感觉凉爽了些。

Yoko's mother comes with a school 洋子的妈妈拿着一本课本走过来。在日本，全年学习很重要，即使在夏天也是如此。

Yoko's mother gives Yoko the school 后来，当太阳下山时，一家人走到公共澡堂。

book. Yoko opens the book, but she doesn't feel like studying. 洋子和她的妈妈进入女浴室。

Later, when the sun goes down, the family walks to the public bath. 洋子的父亲进入男浴室。

Yoko and her mother enter the bath for women. 在淋浴下冲洗，然后坐在水里，感觉很舒服。

Yoko's father enters the bath for the men. 后来，一家人走回家。

It feels nice to rinse in the shower and then to sit in the water. 空气感觉凉爽了。

Later, the family walks home. 月亮在天空中微笑着。

The moon is smiling in the sky. 月亮在天上微笑。

Yoko smiles back. 洋子回以微笑。
