She pulled one match from the bundle and struck it against the wall. 她从那把火柴里抽出一根，在墙上划了一下。

How it sputtered, how it blazed! 它噼啪冒着火星，一下子烧得可旺了！

It gave a warm, bright flame, like a tiny candle, 火苗又暖又亮，就像一根小蜡烛，

as she cupped her hand around it. 她赶紧用手把它拢在手心里。

And it was a strange light. 这光亮可真神奇。

It seemed to her that she was sitting in front of a great iron stove, 她好像觉得自己正坐在一座大铁火炉前，
