At supper, Tom was so happy that Aunt Polly wondered what had happened to him. 晚饭时，汤姆高兴得让波莉姨妈纳闷他怎么了。

He did not even mind being scolded for throwing dirt at Sid that day. 他甚至不介意那天因为朝锡德扔泥巴而被骂。

While his aunt was busy in the kitchen, Tom tried to steal a lump of sugar. 姨妈在厨房忙碌时，汤姆试图偷一块糖。
