Tonight's debate brought two very different visions face to face. 今晚的辩论让两种截然不同的观点正面交锋。

On one side, the argument was for bold change, 一方主张大胆变革，

and fast — the world, they said, will not wait. 而且动作要快——他们说，世界不等人。

On the other, a call for caution, 另一方则呼吁保持谨慎，

warning that rushing in often does more harm than good. 警告说操之过急往往适得其反。

Both speakers made strong points, and both, 两位发言人都说得很有道理，但也，

at times, talked past each other. 时不时在各说各话。

The audience seemed split, 观众看起来也分成了两派，
