Local police are asking residents to lock their cars and homes after a rise in break-ins. 由于近期入室盗窃案有所增多，当地警方提醒居民锁好门窗和车辆。

Most of the reports have come from the east side of the city over the past month. 过去一个月里，大部分报案都集中在城东区域。

Police say the thefts usually happen late at night. 警方表示，盗窃通常发生在深夜。

but several bikes and tools have been taken. 但有几辆自行车和一些工具被盗。

Officers are asking anyone with information to come forward. 警方呼吁知情人士主动提供线索。
