Today is my 25th birthday, 今天是我的二十五岁生日，

I am a recovering drug addict and alcoholic. 我是一个正在康复中的吸毒者和酒鬼。

This is my fourth treatment center, 这是我的第四个治疗中心，

but I believe it is the one 但我相信就是这一个

I am the one who has to do the work. 我才是那个必须做功课的人。

My addiction brought a lot of pain, to me and to everyone who loves me. 我的成瘾给我和所有爱我的人带来了很多痛苦。

I once dreamed of becoming a lawyer, of making something of my life. 我曾经梦想着成为一名律师，让人生有所作为。

Instead, seven years of drugs and alcohol brought me jail, treatment, and two overdoses. 然而，七年的吸毒和酗酒却给我带来了牢狱之灾、治疗以及两次吸毒过量。

Addiction is a disease that lands people in jail, in treatment, or in the cemetery. 成瘾是一种疾病，它让人身陷囹圄、接受治疗，或者进入墓地。

I am one of the lucky ones. 我是幸运儿之一。

I've accepted my disease, and I'm learning to manage it 我已接受了我的疾病，并且正在学习如何管理它，

with the help of my family, 在我的家人，

They saved my life. 他们救了我的命。

I've been given another chance, and I do not intend to waste it. 我得到了另一次机会，我不打算浪费它。
