Mike likes to breathe clean, fresh air. 迈克喜欢呼吸干净、新鲜的空气。

He likes to drink clear water, 他喜欢喝清澈的水，

to swim in clean lakes, 在干净的湖泊里游泳，

to walk on clean sidewalks, 在干净的人行道上散步，

to relax on the grass in a clean park. 在干净的公园草地上放松。

We all enjoy these same things. 我们都喜欢这些同样的事情。

But some air is not safe to breathe. 但是有些空气呼吸起来不安全。

Some water is not safe to drink. 有些水喝起来不安全。

Some parks are scattered with litter. 有些公园里到处都是垃圾。

How can we keep our air clean, our water safe, our streets and parks nice? 我们怎样才能保持空气清洁、水安全、街道和公园整洁呢？

What can we do? 我们能做些什么呢？

Each one of us has a part to play. 我们每个人都可以尽一份力。

We can put trash in the trash can, not on the ground, 我们可以把垃圾扔进垃圾桶，而不是扔在地上，

and not in the lakes or rivers. 也不是扔进湖里 或河里。

We can throw away dangerous waste in the right place, not down the drain. 我们可以把危险废物扔到正确的地方，而不是倒进下水道。

Mike takes a walk before work every day, 迈克每天工作前都会散步，

and he carries a small bag to pick up litter along the way. 他随身带着一个小袋子，沿途捡垃圾。

He cannot clean the whole world, 他不能清洁整个世界，

but he can clean his own path. 但他可以清洁自己的道路。
