Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the riverbank. 爱丽丝开始厌倦坐在河边姐姐旁边了。

Her sister was reading a book, but it had no pictures or conversations. 她的姐姐在看书，但书里既没图画也没对话。

What is the use of a book, thought Alice, without pictures or conversations? 爱丽丝心想，一本没有图画也没有对话的书，有什么用呢？

Suddenly, a white rabbit with pink eyes ran close by her. 突然，一只粉眼睛的白兔从她身边跑了过去。
