Now for the details that really wake up my face. 接下来就是真正提气色的小细节了。

I curl my lashes with a little clamp — 我拿睫毛夹夹一下睫毛——

hold, and release — 夹紧，松开——

then sweep on a coat of mascara, 然后刷上一层睫毛膏，

wiggling the brush from root to tip. 刷头从根部左右晃动着刷到睫毛尖。

I brush a soft colour across my eyelids and blend it out so there are no harsh lines. 我在眼皮上扫一层柔和的颜色，仔细晕染开，免得有生硬的边界。

For my lips, I start with a swipe of balm, 嘴唇部分，我先薄薄涂一层润唇膏，

then dab on a bit of lipstick and blot it with a tissue so it lasts. 然后点涂一点口红，再用纸巾抿一下，让它更持久。

Finally, I dust a light layer of powder over everything to set it and take away the shine. 最后，我全脸轻扫一层散粉来定妆，顺便压掉油光。

It's amazing how a few small touches can completely change how awake I look. 几步小细节就能彻底让人看着精神焕发，真是神奇。

I blink, smile at myself in the mirror, 我眨眨眼，对着镜子里的自己笑笑，

and check my teeth for good measure. 保险起见还顺便检查了一下牙齿。
