Lesson 75 SOS When a light passenger plane flew off course some time ago, 第75课 求救信号 不久前，一架轻型客机偏离了航线

it crashed in the mountains and its pilot was killed. 坠落在山区，飞行员遇难了。

The only passengers, 唯一的乘客——

a young woman and her two baby daughters, were unhurt. 一位年轻女士和她的两个小女儿——都安然无恙。

It was the middle of winter. 当时正值隆冬。

Snow lay thick on the ground. 地上积着厚厚的雪。

The woman knew that the nearest village was miles away. 女士知道最近的村庄也在几英里之外。

When it grew dark, 天渐渐黑下来时，

she turned a suitcase into a bed and put the children inside it, 她把一个手提箱改成床，把孩子们放进去，

Fortunately, 幸运的是，

It was not long before a helicopter arrived on the scene 没过多久，一架直升机就赶到了现场，
