Lesson 2. 第二课。

Breakfast or Lunch It was Sunday. 早餐还是午餐？那天是星期天。

I never get up early on Sundays. 我星期天从来不早起。

I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime. 有时候我会赖床到午饭时间。

Last Sunday, 上个星期天，

I got up very late. 我起得很晚。

I looked out of the window. 我往窗外看了看。

It was dark outside. 外面黑乎乎的。

What a day, I thought. 什么鬼天气，我想。

It's raining again. 又下雨了。

Just then, the telephone rang. 就在这时，电话响了。

It was my Aunt Lucy. 是我姑妈Lucy。

I've just arrived by train, she said. 她说：“我刚坐火车到。”

I'm coming to see you. “我来看你。”

But I'm still having breakfast, I said. 我说：“但我还在吃早饭呢。”

What are you doing? “你在干嘛？”

she asked. 她问。

I'm having breakfast, I repeated. 我重复道：“我在吃早饭。”

Dear me, she said. 她说：“天哪。”

Do you always get up so late? “你总是起这么晚吗？”

It's one o'clock. “都一点了。”
